عام 1993-1994
كانت تتكون من نك واي جي وهاوي وفي سنة 94 كان كيفن انضم الى الفرقة بعد ماكان في ديزني ولقد ضم كيفن ابن عمة براين الى الفرقة ولقد جاء اسم الفرقة من محل تجاري كان اسمة باك ستريت ماركت ولقد أضافو اليها كلمة بويز وكانو يغنون في كل مكان من المدارس الى المجماعات ولقد كان اكبر الحفلات لهم في فلوريدا في يوم التخرج في احدى المدراس الثانوية ولقد ساعدهم في ذالك الحفل DONNA AND JOHNNY ولقد تعاقدو مع شركة JIVE.(علما ان هذة الشركة تعاقدت مع انسيك)
عام 1995-1997
اصدرو اول اغنية لهم بعنوان WE'VE GOT IT GOINولقد تصدرت هذة الاغنية


المركز الاول في جميع انحاء اروبا وخاصة في المانيا ثم بعد فترة اشتهرو في امريكا بعد صدور اغنية QUIT PLAYIN' GAMES (WITH MY HEART) حلت هذة الاغنية المركز الخامس في الترتيب العام في امريكا
عام 1998
أصدرو الالبوم الثاني بعنوان BACK STREET BACK وكانت الاغنية بعنوان EVREY BODY وفي نفس السنة عم الحزن على هاوي بعد وفاة اختة واصابة براين في القلب ولقد باعو اكثر من 5.7 مليون نسخة حول العالم وفي أواخر عام 98 أصدرو فديو جديد بعنوان ALL I HAVE TO GIVE
عام 1999
في بداية السنة حصلو على جوائز عدة من PLATINUM وبعد ذلك أصدرو الالبوم الثالث بعنوان MILLENNIUM تحديدا في 18 مايو واغنية I WANT IT THAT WAY و وصلت هذة الاغنية الى المراكز الاولى في الترتيب العام للاغنية في العالم وخاصة في امريكا وفي نفس السنة حصلوا على العديد من الجوائز..!!
عام 2000
زواج كيفن في يوليو وبراين في ستمبر... ولقد أقام اي جي في هذة الفترة حفلات من دون الفرقة لفترة محدودة وتعاقدو مع شركة لصدرار ال...COMIC BOOKS لعمل شخصيات كرتونية للباك ستريت بويز وفي شهر 21 نوفمبر أصدرو الالبوم الرابع بعنوان BLACK&BLUE ولقد كانت اول اغنية لهم في الالبوم بعنوان SHAP OF MY HERT ولقد أقاموا جولة حول العالم في أمريكا والسويد واليابان واستراليا و جنوب افريقا و البرازيل في فترة قدرها 100 ساعة منها 55 ساعة في الجو و48 امضوها في الحفلات
*علما ان عدد الالبومات التى باعوها خلال اربع سنوات اكثر من 55 مليون نسخة حولة العالم وفوق ملايين نسخة حجزت من الالبوم الجديد قبل صدورة
عام 2001
تبدا المشااكل للفرفة بمرض اهم عضوو اي جي وتووقف جوولاتهم لمدة شهر وكاان سبب هذا المرض هو الادماان في الكحووول صوورة من المقاابلة التي اجريتهاا الفرقة مع مذيع قنااة ام تي في عن صحة اي جي
وفي آواخر عاام 2001 اصدرت الفرقة الالبووم الخاامس وبعنواان

The Hits - Chapter One

يحتووي هذا الالبووم على افضل اغاانيهم منذ بيااتهاا وحتى الالبووم واصدرو اغنية جديدة بعنووان "Drowning."
